Before equipment can move into charity reuse

Remove devices from Intune, Autopilot, Apple Business Manager, Google Admin, Jamf, Knox or other management platforms where applicable. Remove activation locks, organisation accounts and firmware passwords where practical before collection. Confirm whether your organisation requires an asset register, destruction certificate or other project evidence before equipment is released. Tell us if your organisation has a specific charity in mind, or whether Bioteknik should assess suitable reuse routes after processing. For charities receiving public donations, separate equipment that is clearly damaged, incomplete or too old for practical reuse where possible.

Do you donate a fixed percentage of every collection?

No fixed percentage is promised. The amount suitable for charity reuse depends on the specification, condition, management state, repair viability, project requirements and what receiving charities actually need.

Can a business choose a specific charity?

Potentially, yes. Where the project and equipment are suitable, we can discuss a named charity route. The receiving organisation still needs equipment that is secure, usable and appropriate for its needs.

Can charities ask Bioteknik directly for equipment?

Yes. Charities can contact us with their requirements. Availability depends on suitable stock and incoming projects, so specific models or quantities cannot always be guaranteed.

Do donated devices still receive data destruction?

Yes. Reuse does not remove the need for data security. Data-bearing devices must follow the agreed sanitisation route before they are released for another user.

What if a charity receives broken computers from the public?

Where agreed, we can assess mixed donated equipment, refurbish suitable units and route equipment that is not viable for reuse into the appropriate recovery process.

Is every collected device suitable for donation?

No. Some equipment may be unsafe, too old, uneconomic to repair, activation-locked or unsuitable for the receiving organisation. Those assets follow the appropriate alternative route.
